Here is the tentative list of my favorite shojo/shoujo manga works.
—————————————————————————————–
My Rate System:
A: Excellent = My favorite and recommendable. But please note that some works are chosen only from my personal history and that may not be so interesting for other people.
B: Very Good = Very enjoyable but not as time-tested as the A-ranked titles personally, or on the contrary the impressiveness dimmed a little bit after long time.
C: Good = Good for passtime; or enjoyable but a little bit tiresome for repeated reading.
D: Fair = There is a thing or two to esteem, but not touching enough.
E: Poor = Out of the list.
About “Roma-ji”:
To express the original title in Japanese, I’m using Roma-ji basically in “Hebon-siki (Dr. Hepburn Meathod)” with some twists of my own to avoid the two connecting vowels be pronounced as one long vowel. For example, “ao (blue)” in normal Hebbon-siki to “awo”, “Toshie” to “Toshiye”. However, I’ve not adopted “oh” to express long /o/ sound. So, while “Kyoko” is actually pronounced like /Kyoh ko/ (the first “o” is a long vowel and the second a short one), the same “o”s are used here.
The List is in the alphabetical order of the author’s name (family name first).
